    The Foundation manages Delhi Public School in Ahmedabad with a strength of 2700 students and 140 teachers housed in a campus stretched across 7 acres with a built up area exceeding 2 lakh sq. feet.
      
    Apart from the education, the Calorex Foundation has stood up to the need of humanity at the time of earthquake in Gujarat and had taken up various voluntary responsibilities for earthquake affected people.

  • Karuna Trust
     
    Calorex foundation adopted a hospital and in association with the Doctors of the Ahmedabad Medical Association took up the challenge of operating the patients with multiple fractures and injuries from the deep areas of Kutch. They were provided all assistance until their complete rehabilitation.

  • Visamo [Shelter]

    Visamo was a shelter created to provide succor to the earthquake affected people in Gujarat. Visamo was a camp with 200 cubicles of 100 sq. ft., each with all facilities for a family to live in. On this strength Visamo continued for 60 days with approximately 24,000 people staying and 54,000 people having their food.

    Earthquake affected residents were given warmth, security and acceptability without getting a feeling of being obliged. Visamo has become a legend in the field of social service.

    Dy. Prime Minister Shri L.K. Advani on his visit to ‘vismo’ wrote that NGO’s working in Gujarat should emulate from this. He was awed to see the arrangements and assistance provided to the earthquake affected people.

  • School Reconstruction Project, Dhangadhra.

    Dhangadhra, 120 km from Ahmedabad being the worst hit taluka after Kutch was left with no primary school in the entire Taluka. Calorex Foundation took up the challenge of keeping the commitment to education and reconstructed 39 schools in record time.

Samvedana Trust

Doing extensive work in the slums of Wadaj Area of Ahmedabad through giving supplementary education to children of the slums.

Citizen’s Council, Ahmedabad.

Through Citizens Council several grass root programmers, with the help of intellectuals, common Citizens & down trodden people of Hindus & Muslims were organized. Green City and Clean City campaign, Traffic regulation, Slum welfare & peace harmony campaign during communal riots were the main topics for thought & action.

Citizens Council is running a Juvenile guidance center. Grant in aid by Samaj Suraksha Kendra, Govt. of Gujarat, at Wadaj in Ahmedabad since 1982.

Various child welfare activities & celebrations of National Festivals are successfully done through this for the past 20 years. The Citizens’ Council also runs a Family Planning Center with grant by the Health Dept., Govt. of Gujarat since 1983. This center has also shown an excellent & satisfying working since last 19 years.

 
AIR (Ahmedabad's Initiative for Reduction in Pollution)

As a member of AIR (Ahmedabad's Initiative for Reduction in Pollution) Hiten Vasant chairs the Transport Sub Committee of the Society. AIR is a collaborative initiative by the citizenry of Ahmedabad city and the Government administrators to curb air pollution and gear up people to participate. Hiten Vasant is actively working towards a cleaner Ahmedabad.
